We had the privilege of working with Llais, an organization dedicated to empowering individuals using NHS and social care services in Wales.
Their vision was to create a bilingual website that offered crucial information and a platform for people to voice their feedback on NHS and social care services they received in Wales. To achieve this, we began with a kick-off and alignment session, delving deeply into understanding the needs of Llais' users and creating proto personas. With this valuable insight, we set out to design an intuitive information architecture and develop wireframes and mock-ups to shape the website's user interface.
User-centric information architecture
Our discovery phase was focused on thorough research and user insights, enabling us to design an intuitive information architecture that ensured easy access to key resources. We carefully organized the website's content to create a seamless navigation experience, allowing users to find what they need with ease.

In addition to the site search, we incorporated a dynamic news and events listing functionality. This feature allows Llais to keep their community up-to-date with the latest news, announcements, and upcoming events. By providing real-time updates and relevant content, the website becomes an invaluable hub of information, encouraging repeat visits and active participation.
Introduced a publications library to showcase reports and a custom ‘In Your Area’ search based on user postcodes
Understanding the importance of sharing valuable reports and resources, we designed and implemented a comprehensive publications library on the website. This dedicated section serves as a repository for reports, studies and publications that are essential to the Llais community.
We also developed a custom ‘In Your Area’ search functionality that utilises user postcodes to provide location-specific information. This feature enables users to discover resources and services tailored to their particular region, giving a more personalized experience. By catering to user’s unique needs based on their geographical location, the website becomes a reliable and user-friendly platform for individuals seeking localized assistance and support.
